4Hooves Equine Transport Policies & Recommendations

Equine transportation local or long distance needs to be scheduled well in advance of the departure date, if possible, to allow for any necessary arrangements to be made.  A comprehensive “Transport Contract” must be completed and all required documentation will need to be submitted and received by 4Hooves Large Animal Services, LLC prior to the date of pick-up in accordance with the agreement between client and 4Hooves Large Animal Services, LLC.  

Required documentation include, but is not limited to, proof of negative Coggins test dated within the past 12 months, Health Certificate dated within 30 days (if transport crosses state lines), and certificate of Brand Inspection (if travelling through states that require one).  Vaccination records documenting vaccinations current within 6 months of the date of transport is required if multiple clients equines are transported at the same time or we will be laying over for the night during the transport.  

If the transport cannot be scheduled well in advance, please contact us immediately, as we are often available on short notice as well, and we can discuss other arrangements regarding the receipt of the Transport Contract and other documentation, payment, and scheduling.
