The equines being transported are monitored via a state-of-the-art trailer camera system with color images, night-vision, and sound. Our trailer is equipped with three cameras, one in the front stall area, one in the rear stall area, and a rear-view camera which allows us to see what is behind our trailer at all times.
Unless necessary in order to provide water or hay, we make every effort not to get inside the equine's area in the trailer during transport for our safety and the safety of the equines we are hauling. We can monitor the equines during transport from inside the towing vehicle so that in the event of an incident inside the trailer, arrangements can be made to maneuver to a safe location away from the roadway where the situation can be better assessed and handled safely and appropriately.
Our trailer camera system also allows us to send photo and video updates to our clients of how there equines are handling the transport.
We use RanchCams camera systems in all of our trailer units. We have tried numerous trailer cameras over the years, from cheap back-up cameras to expensive systems, and none have compared to the quality, ease of installation, and simplistic operation as our RanchCams systems. Not only does RanchCams provide a great product but they have the best customer service too! If you are looking for a trailer (or barn) camera system check out RanchCams!
4HLAS also has a dash-cam system that records the road in front of the truck and the area behind the truck. This system can not only capture video of collisions or near-collisions from the front but can also capture a limited area behind the truck and to each side of the truck bed. The footage is recorded in increments and stored on an SD card and is saved directly to our online account. The recording is time-stamped with the date, time, GPS coordinates, and the vehicles speed. This footage can be extremely helpful should an accident occur to prove at-fault status or if the equine is injured due to having to abruptly maneuver the vehicle to avoid a collision or other traffic hazard.
